What to Expect During & After Treatment
Before Treatment:
A consultation is strongly recommended before booking as Lumecca is most effective for lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types 1-4)
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks. Discontinue retinol, exfoliants, and active skincare ingredients a few days prior
During Treatment:
Your skin is cleansed, and protective eyewear is provided. Next ultrasound gel is applied to the treatment area as a coupling agent.
The Lumecca handpiece is applied to the skin, delivering controlled light pulses.
You may feel a mild snapping sensation, similar to a rubber band.
Healing process & Aftercare:
Mild redness and warmth, similar to a mild sunburn, for a few hours
Pigmented spots may darken temporarily before flaking off within a few days to 1 week after treatment.
Gradual improvement over 1-2 weeks, with best results seen after multiple sessions (3-4) spaced 1 month apart.
